What is Sermorelin?
Sermorelin (GHRH 1–29 NH₂) is a synthetic analog of the first 29 amino acids of endogenous growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It acts on the pituitary gland to stimulate the release of endogenous growth hormone, and is extensively studied in models of GH deficiency and aging-associated GH decline.

Sermorelin Research
1. Sermorelin and GH Secretion
Sermorelin binds to GHRH receptors (GHRHR) on somatotroph cells of the anterior pituitary, stimulating pulsatile GH release. Research models confirm dose-dependent GH elevations following Sermorelin administration.
2. Sermorelin and Body Composition
Studies in GH-deficient animal models demonstrate that Sermorelin-induced GH release promotes lean mass preservation and fat mass reduction, relevant to metabolic and aging research.
3. Sermorelin and Aging
Research into GH axis restoration during aging has utilised Sermorelin as a model compound, with results showing improved IGF-1 levels, bone density markers, and sleep architecture in aged subjects.
Future Sermorelin Research
Future investigations are exploring Sermorelin in pediatric GH deficiency models, age-related sarcopenia, and combination protocols with GHRPs for enhanced GH pulse amplitude.
